Our Purpose:
The purpose of the Florida Consumer Action Council is to help the handicapped learn there is more to life than their disability. The FCAC exists to improve our quality of life which revolves around self determination, independence, responsibility, and autonomy.
We seek meaningful work. Work in which we can learn to develop confidence, self worth, and esteem.
We will, as an organization, foster pride in our membership. Pride to replace the diffidence we often feel with our disabilities.
The basic role of the FCAC is to help challenge society to accept the reality that WE HAVE AS MUCH WORTH AS ANYONE.
